Here you will find helpful information on importing your new or used RV into Canada from the United States. 

RV Consignment Specialists has sold many Motorhomes and Trailers to the great people of Canada and look forward to a long lasting relationship. As you go through our website, please be aware that all prices are in U.S. Dollars. 

RV Consignment Specialists has compiled a list of Helpful information for you on importing new RV's into Canada.

Obtain a Recall Clearance Letter - This will allow you to pass the Federal Inspection. (RV Consignment Specialists will supply this to you.)

Purchase Order - Bill Of Sale. (RV Consignment Specialists will supply this to you.)

Manufacturers Certificate of Origin (MCO) - (RV Consignment Specialists will supply this to you during our paperwork process.)

Fees to be paid at Border - (All fees are the responsibility of customer. All Canadian customers will pay a fee. This is paid to the Registrar of Imported Vehicles. Please click on this link to find your fee http://www.riv.ca/ImporterChecklist.aspx.  Canada Border Services Agency does not accept cash or checks for the RIV Fee.

Once your Motorhome or Trailer enters Canada:


  • You will have 45 days for vehicle inspection and to complete any modifications that are needed.
  • Canadian Tire will perform all Federal Inspections as well as Provincial Inspections.


How to pay RV Consignment Specialists For your purchased RV:

Deposits
A deposit is required for any purchase of a unit with our company.  All deposits are non-refundable after three business days.

Complete Balance
Complete balance payments may be paid using the following methods:
                 Wire Transfer
                 Cash or Cashier Check.

Canadians having their units delivered will need to submit a wire transfer or send the cashier check before delivery for verification.  Cashier Checks Must Be Bank Issued - Personal Checks Stamped Certified Will Not Be Accepted.
